My name is Bill Reed; cartoon artist by trade. Now, I am something I do not recognize, or know what to think of. I have caught what many doctors and scientists are calling Toonmonia. It is an unprecedented and irreversible illness that causes those who are exposed to it to transform into living animated beings. My employers at Toon Enterprises have placed me on Administrative leave, and ordered a full decontamination effort in the building I work in. Whether or not I will be allowed back to work is still up in the air. For now, I am in quarantine; unable to leave my house, or allow anyone in it.
Of course, several media outlets are offering me the moon and the stars to hear my story. Truth be told, I am afraid. I am now a young woman with a body most models would kill for, and a voice that would make most men swoon. The only clothes I have at the moment are those that transformed the moment I touched them. A long black dress that accents my figure well was all I could find that was somewhat modest. It brought out my emerald green eyes and long red hair. Fortunately, the shoes became flats; but I am certain I will be wearing heels before too long...
I looked up from my diary and sighed as the phone rang for the umpteenth time today. "They just will not quit!"
What frustrated me more was that I was trapped in my own home by both the quarantine and the mob of reporters outside. Fortunately for me, all of them were too scared to risk being near me, in fear of becoming 'tooned' themselves. Still, I had to do something; so I decided to write down everything that had happened to me in hopes it may help someone somewhere find a cure, or at least a vaccine...
