The Pre-historic world was not friendly to humanity. The macros of the modern-day hadn't developed a way of communicating with humans. While both groups could tell the other was intelligent like they were, interactions were seldom seen. This left many more macros to feel indifferent or even malicious towards human, though not all of them felt this way.

Beyond the obvious differences like culture and technology to be found this far in the past, there was also the matter of creatures. Pre-historic animals and dinos followed a similar growth spurt that anthros do. This means some larger specimens end up bigger than even the gigantic anthros. The relation in size between these colossal creatures and anthros is the same as...
