This choice: Helena gets stopped on the way to the library. • Go Back...Chapter #7A library commute by: Mr Lac As Helena made her way towards the library, she suddenly spots a familiar face in the hallway. "Oh... Just my luck..."
Standing in the middle of the hallway was an all too familiar silver-haired girl that made her blood boil. Even more so than her gurgling stomach was doing. It was known other than Alisa Thompson, her former best friend turned enemy. Helena's stomach couldn't help but churn with a mixture of resentment and disgust as she approached her.
Hearing Helena's steps drawing closer to her, Alisa looked away from her notebook and was surprised to see Helena. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Helena. Still causing trouble, I see?" Alisa remarked as she crossed her arms and raises an eyebrow at the troubled girl.
Taking a deep breath and trying to keep her emotions and stomach in check, Helena knew she couldn't afford to let her guard down around Alisa. "Says you, Thompson..." she retorts, her voice laced with bitterness.
Alisa rolls her eyes dismissively as she unfolded her arms and waved nonchalantly at Helena's words. "Please, let's not rehash that old story of ours. We both know why our friendship fell apart. But right now, that's not important. I heard you've been having some... 'difficulties'." She smirks, clearly revelling in Helena's predicament.
Already feeling embarrassed enough, Helena wasn't very happy to hear that Alisa was somehow aware of her unusual situation. Curling her other hand into a fist at her side, Helena refused to show any vulnerability to Alisa. "And why would you care about my problem...? In fact, how do you know? It's none of your business."
"I guess that's true," Alisa replies before flipping her long hair over her shoulder. "But I gotta admit, it's quite amusing to see you waddle around like that. Can't handle the stress of being perfect anymore?"
The blonde couldn't help but grit her teeth, the mention of her current predicament stinging even more. "Yes, yes, hahahaha.. So, if you got nothing else to share, I have something to take care of-!"
As Helena was about to walk around Alisa, the silver-haired girl suddenly stepped closer towards her. Alisa's eyes narrowed with curiosity at the frustrated teen. "But I'm also curious too. Why are you so bloated? Are you putting on weight? Are you pregnant? The gossip mill will love this~."
Helena's cheeks flush with anger and embarrassment. She can't let Alisa spread rumours about her magical mishap. "Again, it's none of your concern! Now leave me alone!"
Alisa smirks, enjoying the power she holds over Helena at this moment. "Oh, I'll go away but only if you admit that you're no longer the perfect girl you pretend to be. We all know you've been slipping lately."
"You... You..!" Helena fumed before- indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
