John sat at his desk, mindlessly scrolling through his phone, when the sound of the mail slot opening caught his attention. Curiosity piqued, he rose from his chair and walked over to the front door. It wasn't every day that he received snail mail; it was usually just bills or junk flyers. However, today was different.
As he sifted through the pile of letters, an envelope caught his eye. It was thick and had an old-fashioned wax seal on it, bearing the crest of his late uncle, David. John's heart skipped a beat. Uncle David had always been a recluse, rarely seen by the family. News of his passing came as a surprise, and now this letter added to the intrigue.
He carefully tore open the envelope and unfolded the letter inside. The words on the page were a testament to Uncle David's eccentricity. In his final will, he revealed that he had left something behind for John, something no one in the family knew about—the secret laboratory that had been his sanctuary for years.
John's eyes widened as he read further. Uncle David had written, "To my dearest nephew, John, I bequeath to you my laboratory, hidden away from prying eyes. It's time for you to discover the magic within yourself. Use the key I have enclosed to unlock the secrets that lie within."
With trembling hands, John reached inside the envelope and retrieved a small brass key. Its weight felt heavier than it appeared, as if carrying the weight of untold mysteries and hidden wonders. His mind raced with questions, his curiosity ignited by the prospect of this hidden realm.
Determined to uncover the truth behind his uncle's enigmatic life, John resolved to visit the laboratory immediately. The key felt cool against his skin as he pocketed it and made his way out the door. The address provided in the letter led him to an older part of town, where aging buildings whispered forgotten tales.
Finally, he arrived at the designated location—a dilapidated building that stood like a forgotten relic amidst a sea of modern structures. He inserted the key into the lock, turning it with a creaking resistance, as if the laboratory had been waiting for this very moment.
The door swung open, revealing a room bathed in shadows. As John cautiously stepped inside, his eyes widened in astonishment. Shelves lined the walls, filled with dusty books, arcane artifacts, and row upon row of colorful glass vials, each containing a shimmering liquid. The air tingled with an otherworldly energy, and a sweet, intoxicating scent wafted through the room.
As he calmly stepped along the shelves makings on the vials caught his eye. In random order he read, "Shrinking", "Sex Change", "Growth", "Memory Erasure", "Breast Expansion", "Intellect Decrease", and those were only ones that were in front of him.
Quickly he noticed another letter on a counter top near him, similar to the one he received the key in. Wasting no time John opened it and read the instructions, "Feel free to use anything here to your desire, I know how hard it is to see a magic potion and not use it. Potions can be mixed freely without any consequence, as long as they are not contradictory. If you ever need more potions, there are written recepies in the books. Be watchful with who you tell about this laboratory. Your Uncle, Dave"
