It was time for the new king to be crowned in the old France of mid-1782, where Henry, the son and first-born child of the Capetian dynasty, was making way for a new beginning, both for royalty and for his loyal subjects and the rest of the people, who were beginning to feel indignant about the reign of their former sovereign. Prince Henry was reaching his limit. During the last few years of his life, he had done everything to ensure that this would be the most prosperous and secure reign possible in his country's history.
He tried absolutely everything; from talking and debating constantly with his now deceased father about the situation of his subjects, to creating classes that his people could use to represent themselves in the nobility, to even changing the current French economy so that he would be seen as good and fair by his people, but it all seemed completely in vain and pointless.
It seemed that absolutely nothing he did was bearing fruit, and unfortunately, he had a good guess as to why his actions were turning out to be in vain. His first-born daughter Monique was to blame for everything. It wasn't simply because of her insane rebelliousness, but also because of her rare condition, seen as coming from literal fairy tales: What had made her a giant since birth.
Now, this was the moment Henry had worked so hard to make work, the responsibility, the conflicts avoided, everything would be tested in his future reign, and now, all the future king of France wanted at that moment was to rest, because soon he would have to take the lead in a great speech aimed at calming his subjects who were in denial about his hold on power, all because of his firstborn.
This was all the future monarch wanted, a little rest, but fate was proving cruel to Henry, for just as he was about to close his eyes, he felt as if a powerful earthquake had hit him.
