Jake suddenly fell through the void and found himself falling onto the floor of the living room, as if he'd just fallen off the couch. "What the fuck just happened?" He asked.

"Why are you asking me?" A male voice said.

He looked around.

"Down here," the voice said. It was coming from Gary, the family pitbull.

"Okay...this is some serious shit..." Jake said. "I must be dreaming."

"Maybe I'm dreaming too," Gary said.

"Dogs don't talk..."

"Well, humans don't listen. So, I guess we're even."
