Despite every bit of evidence of your unlucky life kicking in at the last moment to screw you over, you managed to push your energy into a twitch, and were rewarded by the sight of your mother's eyes widening. After only a second later, she gasped loudly.
"Oh, goodness, sweetie!" Lauren cooed. "That's you stuck to these leggings, isn't it, Matt?" Your mother pushed aside her sewing machine and began picking at your body with her nails, easily separating you from the fabric. "Imagine how that would've turned out, sewing you into Rio's leggings like that." Lauren couldn't help but chuckle. "You'd be facing a lot of that woman's booty for quite a while, wouldn't you? Oh, you always get into these silly situations, Matt!"
Lauren laughed again, and for as happy as you were to actually be rescued, your mother's carefree callousness still hurt. Her willingness to laugh at the idea of you spending weeks or months clenched tight to her best friend's buttocks was depressingly humbling when it came to you realizing how little most of the women in your life really cared about your safety. Your mom was truly and utterly convinced that you didn't mind your thousands of accidents and mishaps, and genuinely believed that if you ever did disappear you'd eventually turn up none the worse for wear.
Lauren set you down gently on the edge of her work table, patted your squished body gently as some form of reassurance, and then returned to her work. Finding suitable tan Tinex to replace you, she sewed up the hole in Rio's leggings. Then, potentially having forgotten about you in the excitement of a job well done, Lauren strolled out of the work studio and back downstairs, leggings in hand. You were left in peace to slowly reform.
Actually, no one came to retrieve you at all, for the entire rest of the day. A part of you was upset to miss out on fun times with family and friends, but another part of you was grateful for missing out on Jenna's cruel machinations and undoubtedly a day filled with squashing and crushing. It was also somewhat disheartening that not even Mari came upstairs to check on you, as no doubt her bad short-term memory had kicked in and she was having too much fun downstairs to think about you. So, you merely made the trek to your bedroom and spent the day lying on your bed and watching videos on your tiny-sized phone.
Later that night, the tall form of Jenna strode past your doorway, and you briefly locked eyes with her. After a second, Jenna doubled back and stared at you harder, a surprised grin stretching across her pretty face.
"Oh, shit! What's up, big bro?" Jenna sauntered into your room, hand on hip. You groaned and sat up, mentally preparing yourself to make a break for it if need be.
"What do you want, Jenna?" You asked, not really in the mood for her games.
"Not much." Jenna shrugged. "I honestly didn't know where you turned up after Twister. Kinda thought you'd be smeared somewhere on Mari or Ashley. How did you get away?" She peered at you intently for a second, almost as if she was impressed by your escape, before she shook her head. "Whatever. At least now you're free to spend all day with me tomorrow."
You rolled your eyes. "You don't control my life, Jenna. Why would I hang out with you tomorrow?"
"Uh, because of our bet?" Your sister looked at you like you were stupid. "You owe me this, remember? The convention?"
You blinked for a moment...and then let out a long-suffering sigh.
For a few months you started watching a new anime called 'Supreme Super Size Sisters', or 'SSSS' for short. It was a sci-fi, cliché-ridden, trope-filled, visually bright mess of a show, but you loved it nonetheless. Plus, it actually starred some affected tiny characters in the main cast. Well, only girls, but it was still positive representation in your book! The show followed a group of seven girls (five unaffected and two affected) who form a sisterhood using their hi-tech weaponry and mech suits to battle cruel villains and giant monsters. It was loud, bombastic, and comedic. A show meant for all ages, but with some surprising depth.
But, you'd eventually stopped watching the show once you realized something uncomfortable. Every single villain that wasn't a giant monster was an affected tiny guy. The tiny guys in the universe of the show were unequivocally treated either as jokes not to be taken seriously, or as disgusting perverts that needed to be crushed. Quite literally, often, as many of the villains were defeated by the heels and butts of the lead cast, and those same villains sometimes even joined the main girls' wardrobes afterwards! Even the two affected girls on the main team were viewed more as pets and adorable little things to be coddled, and not as true people like the other unaffected 'normal' girls.
It was clear to you the show was trying to subtly push an anti-tiny message in all the wrong ways, so you stopped watching.
Unfortunately, your obsession led Jenna to watch a few episodes of the original run of the show so she could tease you about it, but Jenna ended up falling in love with the show even more than you had! The show gave form to the resentment and prank-based treatment she held towards you on an episodic basis, and Jenna loved it. She binged the original show, the reboot, the re-reboot, the live action adaptation, the three non-canon movies, and played all four of the video games. She had an 'SSSS' poster in her room, and collected a fair bit of the memorabilia.
Which is why Jenna was over-the-moon when it was announced that this year's S4C (shorthand for 'Supreme Super Size Sisters Convention') would be held only two hours from your house. Dipping into her savings, Jenna immediately bought tickets for herself, Mari, and Ashley to all attend the convention with her. Jenna had easily turned Ashley into a mega-fan, but Mari was more a casual watcher of the show whenever Jenna insisted, as Mari herself didn't really like anime or things of that nature.
Tangentially related, you'd made a bet with Jenna that you could make it through Aunt Cass' visit to your house a few months back without getting crushed more than ten times. If you won the bet, you told Jenna that she'd have to buy you one of those new tiny-sized RC cars that were built to be nearly indestructible and were lifesavers for traveling as a tiny. Jenna's reward if she won the bet was that you'd tag along to the convention with her. Well, suffice to say, but you lost handily, getting squashed under Cass nearly twenty times in the mere two days she was over. It was pretty humiliating.
You groaned. "That's tomorrow, Jenna?"
Your sister brightened, a hint of her usual playful malice glinting in her eyes. "Yep! I've basically been counting down the days for the past few months, and it's finally time. I've got my costume ready and everything!"
"You're cosplaying?"
"You have to." Jenna explained, as if it was the simplest thing in the world. "It's basically the only real rule of S4C. Entrance into the venue is only permitted if you're attending in costume. Surely you've seen mom and me working together on the parts of my costume, right? I'll be going as Sapphire, since she's my favorite character."
You rolled your eyes. Of course Sapphire was your sister's favorite character. You'd liked her to, at first, until it became clear that she was the one who took the most joy out of stomping tiny bad guys amongst the main cast. The snarky redhead was as pretty as she was vindictive in the show, and at least two of the show's major baddies were serving as her bra and panties, respectively, since season four. Worse, Sapphire was the older sister to one of the two affected tiny girls on the squad, named Ruby. Sapphire treated Ruby like a pet, almost always keeping the tiny redhead buried in her cleavage or some other humiliating spot, and never listening to Ruby...which was super annoying, because Ruby was otherwise the smartest girl on the team but no one ever treated her fairly.
"So, you still want me to go with you?" You said tentatively.
"Of course, dude." Jenna snorted. "Trying to wiggle out of this? Nuh uh. I won the bet fair and square."
"Three of the times I ended up under Aunt Cass were because of you, Jenna!"
"And your total was still like twenty or something!" Your sister pointed out. "I won the bet, Matt. Don't be a sore loser." Her smile widened. "Besides, don't you want more quality time with your little sis?"
You crossed your arms, sulking. "I'm just gonna be hidden in your purse or something, right? Since I won't have a costume or a ticket. It's not like it'll be some amazing experience for either you or me."
Jenna's answering smirk sent a chill down your spine.
"Oh, I don't know, bro. I had a solution for all of that..."
1) Jenna specifically left one part of her costume unfinished, and your squishy body is the exact right thing she needs to sew into place to complete the look!
2) Jenna's got a costume of her own all ready for you. After all, how can she be Sapphire without a little pet Ruby to come along for the ride?
