Noah finished cleaning up his things and headed towards the kitchen to see what him mom had made to eat. He threw in a few monsterish "stomps" of his boyish feet on the floor, his mind never wandering too far from his favorite make-believe activity. But He remembered how much his mom usually hated the loud noises and forced himself to walk normally. Though she oddly hadn't mentioned the excessive footfalls this time, she was probably too busy to notice.
"What's for dinner, mom?" Noah asked, as he pulled out a chair and took his seat.
"Chicken" she replied, placing a plate in front of her son. "And veggies" she added.
It was a large portion of a chicken breast on his plate, with a few scoops of green peas and corn.
"Awwww, not dino nuggets?" Noah half-whined.
"You're getting a little big for dino nuggets, kiddo" His mom winked. "And besides, this meal will help you grow big and strong" She playfully flexed her bicep.
"But the dino nuggets are my favorite. The t-Rex ones look like Godzilla. And I dont like these vegetables" Noah turned up his nose at the meal, but only halfheartedly.
"Trust me, Noah, they're good for you" his mom said patiently, taking her own seat and beginning to eat.
"Well, I guess I can pretend the'yre little crunchy squishy people that I can eat!" Noah took a spoonful of the veggies and glared at them with a jokingly predatory face.
Noah's mom usually hated when he did this. The boy seemed to want to make everything about giant monsters...
