Fire Prince

Zuko felt pain, so much pain. He could hardly remember anything as he seemingly floated thought an endless black void. He tries to remember anything on how he found himself here. He remembered flashes of images. Of him facing his face during the Day of Black Sun. He could no longer pretend that the war was just. No, his plan to wipe out the entirely of the Earth Kingdom including the colonies was monstrous.

He thought about what his uncle said. That it's the Avatar's duty to bring balance and justice. Yet, Zuko didn't believed Aang could defeat his father. So he had no choice but to face his father alone.

When Zuko faced his father in the bunker, for the first time in years Zuko felt like himself. No longer did he craved his father's love and approval. He wanted to not only redeem him but his nation as well. He told his father that his plan was plain evil. That he would not let him condemned his people like that. He challenged him to an Agni Kai.

His father laughed, at least approving of his courage. His father grinned, as he charged his lightning. Zuko stood his ground not flicking for even a moment. When his father let loose the bolt, Zuko was ready. He a took a deep breath and out stretched his fingers. His father laughed once more. Of course the laughter stopped as he saw the lightning swirling around Zuko.

Zuko opened his eyes as he redirected the lightning back at his father. Zuko smiled, as he saw the expression of horror. As his father watched helpless as his own lightning bolt came back towards him. The bolt hit directly at his "heart". He dropped back to his throne motionless.

Zuko grinned, but suddenly his body felt nothing but pain. He guess his father's final attack was stronger then he thought. As he slowly lost conscious he smiled, at least knowing he stopped his father.

"Awaken my young prince." Said a soft feminine voice.

Zuko slowly regained conscious. He opened his eyes and slowly stood up. It took a few moment for Zuko to regain his senses. He looked around and found himself in a strange looking temple. Or at least what he thought was a temple. It was white with countless statues of figures he didn't know.

Then he looked in front of him, and blushed. Standing before him was a gorgeous and voluptuous woman. She had long golden like hair and blue eyes. She wore a white and gown dress that hang off all of curves.

"Welcome Prince Zuko." Said the woman, smiling.

Zuko gulped, as his uncle never told of a spirit like this.

"Prince Zuko, I'm not a spirit from your world. My name is Minerva, the Goddess of Heroes." Said Minerva, bowing.

"Goddess of Heroes." Said Zuko, he never heard of this.

"Yes, it's my job to watch over the varies heroes from countless worlds." Said Minerva, then floating spheres appeared around her. Zuko looked closely and saw each one was a planet.

"When a hero defeats the main evil of his world. I summon them here to reward them for this bravery." Said Minerva, smiling.

"But." Said Zuko, as he was going to correct her. He wasn't a hero, most of his life Zuko he fought for the Fire Nation.

Minerva giggled, "You where not the first hero to fought for the side of evil. Many heroes have, but like all they come to realized who was the evil and choose to fight against." Said Minerva, smiling.

"What about Aang ?" Asked Zuko, as he consider him the real hero of his world.

"Some worlds have many heroes fighting for justice. Some of them fall in battle, so others can win. No hero is destined to be their world's hero. Like everything, they must win or lose on their own. Do you believe Aang could have won ?" Asked Minerva, as she stared at him.

"No, he's just to gentle. That's why I chose to fight." Said Zuko, looking into the Goddess's eyes.

"That's correct, you made the choice to be a hero and fight your father, even thinking you might lose. As such you earn the title of hero of your world." Said Minerva, smiling.

Zuko bowed, "Thank you." Said Zuko, smiling.

"Now for your reward. This is my temple on this world I created. This island, Hero's Paradise. Here you can relax until you return to your world. You may also face other heroes, in friendly competition. Learn from them." Said Minerva, smiling.

"What about..." Said Zuko, Minerva raised a hand.

"Don't worry, time works differently here. Once you have relax enough and learn enough. I will return you and any of your friends you brought here to your world at the very moment that you and they where summoned." Said Minerva, smiling.

"Friends ?" Asked Zuko,as he looked around.

"Here." Said Minerva, as she held out hee hand. A swirling blue light filled it. Suddenly a strange looking square device appeared in her hand.

"Your world is fairly low tech." Said Minerva, smiling. She handed Zuko the device. It was red and gold, with the symbol of the Fire Nation on the back.

"This is called a tablet." Said Minerva, as she turned it on.

"It has many functions here. First it has a map of the island. With all info about everything place on the island. It can show you directions or teleport you there." Said Minerva, as she showed him how to use it.

"Next, it will allow you to teleport you to your Hero's palace. That's your house for your time here." Said Minerva, smiling.

"Lastly it can summon any female you know here." Said Minerva, as she brought up that part.

Zuko saw several pictures of varies girls he knew. Mai and Katara where both here. His heart ached as he knew he betrayed them both.

"Once you summon them, they can't leave until you do." Said Minerva, smiling.

Zuko nodded, this might be trouble but he had too do it.

"Well that is all, I hope you enjoyed your stay here." Said Minerva, smiling.

Zuko thanked her once again, then she vanished. Zuko decided to got to his Hero's palace first. He hit the button on the tablet. Instantly Zuko found him someplace else.

He was in awe as his Hero's palace looked like a smaller version of the Fire Nation's Palace. After exploring for a bit. Zuko stood in a republica of the throne room. He pulled up the summon command and was decided who to summon first. He knew he had many people had to apologize to.
