House Lannister was among the richest in the world. From their seat at Casterly Rock they ruled the gold mines which fielded armies, crowned kings and ensured a lavish lifestyle for anyone lucky enough to call themselves a Lannister. Arrogance and pride were among their key characteristics, that was once people could look behind the splendid looks most of the members of House Lannister possessed. Perfect blonde hair, green eyes were key features, as well as their saying: 'A Lannister always pays his debts'
For Lord Tywin, head of house Lannister and warden of the west, legacy was his main objective and goal in life. He played the game and he played it well, ruthless when needed. His children were however dissapointments to him. But the Lannister name will survive through them, one way or the other. He had placed his daughter, Cersei, well in a marriage to the king. His sons however were a different story. The kingslayer, Jamie, who had been placed into the kings guard and subsequently murdered the king he vowed to protect and Tyrion, who was a cruel joke to the family from Tywins perspective.
