Bachelors Night Out

by: Jenny Amara Author IconMail Icon
“Dude, this is going to be so lit! I can’t believe you got this all setup Kyle!”

“You haven’t seen anything yet! First it’s dinner at your favorite steak house. Then we’re off for round 1, of many, drinks. We’ll make a few surprise stops along the way too”

So you, Kyle and your five closest friends made your way through an indulgent meal. Three tomahawk bone-in steaks, mashed potatoes, onion rings, calamari, mac and cheese, the whole nine yards. Topping off this meal were multiple glasses of bourbon to each attendees delight. Kyle spent the whole time flirting with the waitress while you were busy enjoying the meal. She was definitely attractive but you wondered why Kyle was so persistent with this waitress.

The next stop on your journey was your favorite bar. You spent the next hour getting free drinks from the bar staff who were relentless in badgering you about settling down. You were spending time with your favorite people in the world and they all wanted to sing your praises and tell you how lucky you were to land a catch like Georgia. You knew they were right too, Georgia was smoking hot and anyone would feel fortunate to have them as a partner. Your future wife Georgia was a ten on any scale of measurement. You were no slouch, but you were definitely the one who had over performed.

Off to the next destination, you realized that you had added a mystery attendee to the party. You didn’t recognize them at first, but you soon realized that it was the waitress from earlier. You soon pulled up to what looked like an abandoned apartment building, but you could hear loud thumping music. Soon enough you were pulled inside and to your amazement you saw a veritable den of debauchery. There were tables setup with people gambling, a bar well stocked with liquor and beer, and of course, strippers giving lap dances. The woman accompanying Kyle stepped in front of your group and announced, “Everything is taken care of, enjoy yourselves but don’t cause trouble or you’ll find out you don’t like the consequences. Alright?”

Everyone nodded their agreement. You were ready to get a beer and play some cards. Which you did for the next hour. Your friends stumbled in and out of the game as you played blackjack but you found yourself enamored by the dealer. A twenty something woman with a killer rack and legs that didn’t seem to end. You found yourself very content to play cards and chat with this specimen of a woman.

“How long have you been working here?”

“Oh, I don’t work here. I am doing this as a favor for our mutual friend,” she said pointing to the woman who had escorted you all to this place.

“Oh, that’s cool, kind of a odd thing to volunteer for though”

“Well, I am getting paid, I just don’t do this regularly. That’s enough about me though. I hear you’re the one getting married. Are you excited?”

“Yeah, I’m stoked. Georgia is amazing. I’m so lucky to have her”

As you were saying this you looked over and saw Kyle get slapped by one of the strippers. You thought it was typical Kyle, but then the other patrons of the establishment started to get rough with Kyle. You did your best to excuse yourself and rushed to Kyle’s aid. Before you knew it, you were throwing punches along with the crowd. You took a few shots as well, but kept going. Then suddenly, the lights in the room all flickered. Not in a natural way though, this felt supernatural. To your absolute astonishment, the woman from dinner, your blackjack dealer and another woman were all now floating above the ground and their eyes were glowing.

“We, these sisters three, command you. Stop!”

With that everyone was frozen in place.

“These two are friends, but they are no friends to us any longer. You will be made to understand what true friendship is.”

You and Kyle looked at each other and were aghast. You could hardly believe what you were seeing.

“But, we didn’t even cause this,” you tried to plead. “Kyle just got a little handsy is all, I’m sure of it.”

“He vouched for you, you vouch for him, we see no reason not to punish you bot.. A lasting bond you have shared, but only at a surface level. You will come to understand a deeper connection is needed to make the assertions you both have made”

“Look, we’re both sorry. I know we are,” you looked over at Kyle who was aggressively nodding along.

“See, we didn’t mean to make a mess of things. We will make it right,” you pleaded further.

“Indeed, you will make it right or you will be cursed to live out your lives until the example these people set is understood”

With that final phrase you blacked out. You felt like you were asleep for a moment before you woke up to find yourself in a strange home. You were also in bed. Had you drank so much that you blacked out? You turned over and saw that there was someone else in bed with you. “Holy shit!” You exclaimed. Your voice. Your voice was all wrong. You freaked out further.

Between these two startles, the other person in bed with you jolted up. “What’s going on?” He exclaimed. “Who are you?” Came the next question from his lips. As you got a look at this man though, the answer became clear to you. Sitting there, next to you, was your future father-in-law, Richard Irving.

Looking down at yourself you only had to ponder for a moment. You must be in Charlotte Irving’s body, Georgia’s mother. You connected the dots of, foreign and high pitched voice, two large breasts hanging from your chest, and lastly that you had been asleep next to Mr. Irving, and well, you figured you must be Charlotte. Why you would be in someone else’s body was a tethering pressing issue as well, but that would have to wait because you just realized that Richard had asked who you were. So maybe you aren’t Charlotte?

You jolted yourself up and out of the bed and felt very disoriented. The weight on your chest and the lower center of gravity was disturbing, but you managed anyway to get to your feet. “Hold tight,” you commanded as you darted for the open room adjoining your current room. You recognized the house as the one that Georgia had grown up in. The Irving’s had given you a tour once before. You needed to see for yourself if your suspicion was correct. Flipping the light on, you were met with the exact visage you expected. It was the face of Charlotte Irving, but it was different from what you remembered. This face was much more youthful, you dare guess that you looked to be little older than eighteen years old.

Back to the other pressing issue, Richard hadn’t recognized you. This lead you to one conclusion.

“Kyle, is that you in there?”

“Yeah, but who are you? Also, why does it look like I’m a different person. My chest isn’t this hairy”

“Well, that’s because it’s not your chest and this is not mine either,” you said as you walked back into the bedroom. “It’s me, Grant. Looks like we’ve been turned into copies of my fiancé’s parents for some reason”

“Why would that have happened? We must be hallucinating. They probably slipped something in our drinks. I’ll just go back to sleep and this will all be over”

“I doubt it man, it’s not like we’re both hallucinating the same thing. I know I’m definitely me, and I know Richard would never act like you are acting, so I think you are really you too”

“But why would we be your in-laws?”

“I mean, the witches said they were going to make us understand what it meant to have a deeper relationship. Georgia’s parents have the best relationship I’ve ever seen.”

“So we’re supposed to just play house now or something. You don’t look like you could be Georgia’s mom with a body like that btw”

“Thanks dude, charming. I don’t get why, but it seems like we’re also back in the past. Like before Georgia was born”

You and Kyle spent the next hour investigating around the house and sure enough, you were able to piece together that you had been sent more than thirty years into the past. You also confirmed that Georgia hadn’t been born yet. From the papers you found on the kitchen table it looked like you had just finished getting your name changed to Irving from your maiden name. This meant you had likely just recently gotten married to Richard.

“Well, what did you find?” Kyle asked you.

“We must have recently gotten married, and judging from this itch I feel on my back I’m guessing we just recently got back from our honeymoon somewhere sunny.”

“Well, this is just great. Look man, I’m all for fun and games, but this is too much. I think we just need to go find those witches and we will get this all sorted. I am not interested in playing house.”

“Totally, we should see what we can find, what was the woman from the steakhouse’s name?”

“Amber”

“Ok, and last name?”

“That’s all she told me, just Amber man”

“Kyle, you took us to a second location with a woman you didn’t even know their last name?”

“She seemed cool, how was I supposed to know this would happen?”

“Well, I’m going to go ahead and guess we’re stuck here”

“You’re just going to give up?”

“No, but I’m not going on a wild goose chase to find some witch named amber from thirty years in the future”

“Alright, I guess when you put it that way. What would you have us do then?”

“I think we have to try and live out the Irvings’ lives the way they did.”

“You realize that means you would be expected to give birth to Georgia. I mean if you’re down to go to pound town, then I’ll oblige, but that’s pretty freaky man”

“First, eww. Second, for all we know I’m already pregnant. I was told that Georgia was a probably a honeymoon surprise”

“No shit! Huh, well I guess that solves that dilemma at least”

“I guess so,” as you said this you started to feel a bit flustered. Your mind felt almost like it was floating outside your body. “I’m not feeling so good Kyle.”

“Yeah, same here, what’s happening?”

“I don’t know I just…”

You went blank and felt yourself again waking up. It once again felt like waking from a dream, but the same disorientation you had felt before was back.
