Mondstadt may be peaceful, but its small and peaceful statue often left its people lax and prime for easy pickings.

Two groups in particular saw them as such, the Abyss and the Fatui.


As a nation without a God it was the prime place to get a foothold. The region had many resources and many secrets buried deep within, many of which the ignorant populace could never be bothered with.
