Chase’s massive paws, normally used for rescuing, now tear through asphalt and concrete like paper as he frantically digs his claws deep into the ground. Windows shatter, walls crumble, and roofs collapse under the force of his digging, sending debris flying everywhere. Cars are upended, their metal twisted beyond recognition. Trees are ripped from their roots, their trunks snapping like toothpicks. The very foundations of the houses tremble and crack, threatening to bury their inhabitants beneath the rubble.
Panic-stricken citizens scream and run for cover, desperately trying to shield themselves from the onslaught of destruction. Fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars lie abandoned, their emergency services rendered useless in the face of this unforeseen catastrophe. Chase digs out a massive trench, at least a mile long through the city’s residential area. Houses teeter over the edge of the huge trench, some succumbing to gravity and falling in. Chase seems rather pleased with himself as the property damage increases rapidly. Chase looks at the trench he dug with a smug grin. “What next?” He says aloud to himself.
