Family
David Johnson - Protagonist; 17-year-old senior at Eastman High School. Middle-of-the-road type who wants more.
John Johnson - David's father; 44-years-old. An elementary school teacher. Stern yet understanding.
Martha Johnson - David's mother; 42-years-old and a baker. Nice but surprisingly fierce.
Joanna Johnson - David's younger sister; 15-year-old freshman at Eastman High School. Pretty and popular but a tad immature.
Mary Johnson - David's older sister; 20-year-old junior at Keyserling. An activist type.

David's Friends
Caleb Ryerson - David's best friend. Snarky but loyal.
Keith Keighly - Another close friend. Mischievous.
Matt Isaacs - Fat with acne and an obsession with girls. David is reluctantly friends with him.
Dana Pak - Older sister of Joanna's best friend. Girl next door type who David has a crush on.

Julianna Seaton - Junior class president; dating senior Timothy Johnson.
Isabel "Izzy" Santos - School newspaper; photographer. Perky and flirty. Close friends with Alex Day and Rae Caldwell. Her older brother, Gabriel, attends St. Xavier.
