You straightened your tie and took a deep breath as you looked up the steps to the school's entrance. You were running a little late on your first day as a freshman English teacher, but you had to savor this moment.
It was quickly over, however, as you were buffeted by the legs of several students entering the building, and you began to fight your way up the steps and into the school, trying not to get stepped on. You dodged every which way, your unfortunate size meaning most of the students in this section of the school didn't even notice you. It was better than being in the elementary or preschool sections though, you figured, where you would just be ashamed to see all the little kids bigger and stronger than you.
With the crowds, unfortunately it was hard to find where your classroom was, leading you to look around for several minutes unable to find it. You were getting anxious now. Being your size in this job was going to be hard enough, but it certainly wouldn't help if you couldn't get to your own class on the first day of school.
