Ruby was so excited! She just got a new toy tool for huntress training off of the Beacon Shopping Network! Yang kept telling her that stuff like this is a waste of money but Ruby new better! A penlight that lets her take the best skills from the other huntresses? How could she pass that up? Weiss told her that it wouldn't work but everything else Ruby got from the network didn't work so what were the chances of this one being a dud too?
Unfortunately her excitement was put on hold as Ruby had the displeasure of walking down the hallway at the same time as Cardin. He was a jerk and Ruby didn't like him! Worse still, he insisted on talking the entire time.
"I'm just saying, why bother training the faunus students at all?" Cardin asked "Just throw them to the front lines and if their animal instincts are any good than they'll live."
Ruby had enough of his crap and pointed her new penlight directly into his eye. She smiled in satisfaction when he winced in discomfort. That's what you get for being a racist! Unbeknownst to the silver eyed girl her penlight now housed said racism.
When Ruby got back to the dorm the only member of her team there was Blake.
"Blake look I got a new thing!" Ruby excitedly informed the cat faunus "It'll let me borrow people's fighting skills like Velvet's semblance does! Isn't it neat!"
Blake sighed at how childish her teams leader could be.
"I'm pretty sure you got ripped off Ruby."
"Nuh-uh!" Ruby pouted "Look, It'll work!"
Ruby shined the light into Blake's eye unknowingly giving her the racism that once filled Cardin.
After that she tried to ninja vanish but messed it up completely, staying in one spot the whole time.
"Well done Ruby." Blake said "Even better than when I do it."
Ruby gave a triumphant chuckle "See? You shouldn't have doubted me."
"You're right, that was foolish of me." Blake admit with a small frown "Anything I can do to make it up?"
"Well, since you're offering can you do my homework for me?" Ruby asked mostly joking.
To her surprise Blake said "Yes of course, although you would probably be better at it than me."
And Blake meant it. Now that she has what was once Cardin's racism she believes faunus, such as herself, were beneath humans and should be obedient and subservient. As she is right now, she won't disobey or even question any non-faunus people.
