This choice: While walking, a giant stops you. • Go Back...Chapter #2Stopped by a Bunny Girl by: _H_ You sped up your pace a little bit, trying to keep your eyes on the red path in front of you. Maybe if you don’t stare at the giants you won’t get into any trouble?
For a few minutes, it went well, along with the majority of the giants in the hall already having dispersed. There was still the occasional one walking by, but nothing like the scare you had earlier.
“Phew… My dad wasn’t kidding about how scary giants can be. But I should be pretty close to class now.”
As you continued walking, you noticed a few tiny students a little farther in front of you looking behind their shoulders. You briefly noticed a look of shock on their face before they bolted away. Was there something wrong with how you looked?
“I could’ve sworn I put on one of the casual uniforms the school recommended. But that was a weird look to give just over a little fashion crisis.”
Slowly but surely, you worked things out in your brain. If it wasn’t you that the reaction was directed towards, then the only other thing would be…
THOOM
THOOM
THOOM
Suddenly, the ground beneath you began to shake again as the deafening impact got louder and louder. Surely it was just another giant passing by? Although a little afraid, you turn around to see what the other tiny students were afraid of. Unfortunately, your worst fears were realized. A gigantic pair of legs was rapidly approaching you. Though they were oddly… white? However, you were so caught up in the view that you forgot to run away.
BOOM
You’re snapped back into reality as two gigantic sneakers appear just in front of you. Your body wouldn’t budge an inch, almost like a deer in headlights. Slowly, you craned your head up. Staring right at you was the giant’s enormous face, staring right at you as she squatted down. She seemed to be a part of the bunny people race, judging from her ears and body.
“Heya there! You must be one of the new tiny students, right?”
Her voice boomed down at you, louder than anything you’d ever heard. You were still incredibly intimidated, but she didn’t seem to be dangerous. Yet, anyway.
“Y-Yeah. I just got here this morning.”
“Nice! I’m glad at least some of you have spunk, unlike all those other tiny folk who just run away…”
She sulked a bit, making you feel bad. She didn’t seem like a bad person, so why did those others run away? Maybe they were just afraid of the size difference like you were.
“That’s too bad. You seem like a, uh, nice person.”
She immediately stopped sulking and excitedly leaned her head in closer.
“I know right? I just wanna help em’ train, but then they all go disappearing or giving up on me… But hey, you look pretty tough. You even got the spirit not to run away just cause I wanna talk!”
You were starting to get a few danger flags from this girl, but you had a hunch she wouldn’t just let you leave at this point.
“I used to train a little back in my home village. Having to fend against bugs and all that. But, uh, I really should be-”
She immediately dismissed your attempt to say goodbye, getting even more pumped up upon hearing that you have both trained and fought before. Although you said that, the most training you did was lift a few weights occasionally and do some daily walks.
“Hell yeah! You’re the first tiny I’ve met that’s actually into this stuff! All the others just want to learn basic magic or something boring like that. Don’t they know that if they wanna catch up to us big folk they’re gonna have to train?”
“Haha, yeah…”
You nervously chuckled, a little unsettled at how into this she was getting. You doubt that even if a tiny trained all their lives, they’d still be no match for someone of her size.
“Plus, you fought bugs? That’s crazy! I’ve never seen a gnome village before but the bugs there must be pretty strong. Us bunny people just specialized in defense and hiding, so we never got to do anything cool like fighting back beasts…”
“Well, I’ve got a class soon, so I should really be going…”
Just as you turned to start walking away, a pair of fingers gripped you from behind. Your feet soon left the ground as you were lifted in front of her face.
“Hold on, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I’ve gotta at least introduce myself first. I’m Brooke!”
Her giant face took up your entire field of view, staring at you expectedly. You had a hunch of what she wanted you to say, and all things considered, it didn’t seem too bad. After all, one of your goals was to get to know a giant, right?
“H-Hi Brooke. Do you… want to be friends?”
She shot you a large grin in response.
“Hell yeah, tiny dude! You’ve got some big potential, so I’d hate for it to go to waste just studyin’ or hangin’ around with some weakling tinies!”
She slightly squeezed your body with her fingers, making you wheeze out a little air.
“Hm, I’d say you have decent bulk but I can’t really tell considering how little you are! I’m gonna need to give you some training tips.”
She let out a small chuckle as she stopped squeezing you. While you regained your bearings, you realized what you had gotten yourself into by talking to her.
“Ugh... I’ll be sure to hang out with you later Brooke. But I’ve really got to get to class now.”
“Oh yeah, don’t wanna miss your first day right?”
But was she going to release you that easily? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
