“Hey, I think we share the next class! Magic 103, right?”
Your heart sank a little. Your one excuse to get away, gone in an instant. You could just lie, but that’d also mean missing your very first university class.
Well, she was just going to accompany you to class right? Although she set off a few red flags earlier, she didn’t seem like that bad of a person. And hey, it beats having to walk on the floor for another 5 minutes.
“Yeah, ‘The Basics of Offensive and Defensive Magic’. Wait, if you’re taking a 103 class then does that mean you’re a freshman too?”
Brooke chuckled sheepishly.
“Nope, I’m a 2nd year! Hehe, I ended up dropping out of my main magic class in my first year since they weren’t covering the things I cared about. But I heard they were teaching enhancement magic this year, plus it’s supposed to be one of the few mixed-size classes. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity, y’know?”
“Wow, 2nd year. I guess you’re used to this school by now?”
“Yep! It can be a little weird at first, so I’ll be sure to help ya’ get used to things as well! Can’t have my new training partner fall behind like I did, can I?”
She grinned and gave you a reassuring thumbs up. Other than her obsession with training and athletics, she was pretty decent to talk to.
Just then, another bell rang out above you.
“Whoops, looks like we chatted too much. That’s the last bell before classes start, so we better get a move on! Don’t worry, I’ll get ya’ there in a jiffy.”
Brooke stood up, the rapid ascension causing you to feel a bit of vertigo. You watched from your perch between her fingers as the ground rushed away from you, sending you over 50 feet into the air. Gulping, you chose not to imagine what would happen if you fell from this height.
“Alright, hang on tight little fella!”
Brooke’s grip around you changed so everything below your arms was enclosed by her fist. She was holding you around chest level, making it somewhat hard to see her face past her enormous chest. You weren’t looking for long, however, as Brooke broke out into a sprint. Obviously, she wasn’t running at full speed, as it was against school rules to do that indoors. But it was definitely fast enough to make you dizzy. Although it was a moderate running speed for Brooke, everything just looked like a blur to you. Her fist rocked back and forth as she ran, though the grip on your body was tight enough that you weren’t slipping out. You could faintly make out the shape of the walls, as well as two bouncing, orange mountains in front of you. After a few more seconds of this rapid movement, plus the pressure from Brooke’s grip, your body could no longer take it. And with that, you passed out.
…
…
“Phew, we’re here!”
You’re snapped back into consciousness by Brooke’s excited statement.
“Ugh… good to… hear…”
Your body was still a bit sore, probably even more so than if you had just walked yourself. However, Brooke found it pretty funny.
“Pfft, you look more tired than I do, and I’m the one who was running!”
“Well, thanks for the lift. I think I should be able to walk to the tiny area by myself.”
“C’mon, I can at least drop ya’ off.”
Brooke entered the classroom, with your tiny body still firmly in her grip. You were still oriented facing Brooke, so you couldn’t get a good view of the room and other giant students. However, you heard a woman’s voice speak up.
“I must say, I’m surprised you weren’t late to class this time. But you are certainly teetering the line.”
“Aw c’mon, I was helping out a new student!”
You weren’t sure who she was talking to, but judging from the tone of her voice, she sounded like she might be the teacher. Brooke opened up her fist, finally releasing the pressure on your body as you fell onto her open palm. Turning around, you saw the giant, green form of a Goblin woman sternly staring down at you. Instinctually, you speak up.
“U-Uh, hello ma’am.”
You were intimidated by her, but her stern look somewhat softened after hearing your response.
“Hmph, at least you have some manners. Are you unharmed?”
She leaned forward to inspect you, her massive faces mere inches away. Her sharp teeth glistened as she spoke, almost reminding you of a monster your village defended against a few years back. Gulping, you muster up the courage to respond.
“Y-Yes, I’m fine. Brooke, er, helped me out on the way here, since I was running into some issues on the tiny path.”
You didn’t want to get Brooke in trouble for almost making you late, considering how easily she’d find you later. She looked at you for a few moments, then to Brooke who was breathing a sigh of relief. Brooke had gotten in trouble with this professor before, so she knew what kind of punishment could have been in store.
“I see. I will be lenient for today as it’s your first time at the university. But it is heavily advised that all tiny students arrive at class before the second bell rings, so as to avoid any potential problems. Do you understand?”
You racked your brain for a moment, trying to remember the name you saw on your class timetable. Considering this was your first impression, you wanted to make it a good one. After all, having good relations with the faculty was pretty important for students. Or so you’ve heard, anyway. Gnomes only had two licensed universities after all, so most of your school-related knowledge came from stories you’d heard from there.
“Yes, Ms. Oleandar. Sorry for almost being late, it wasn’t intentional. I really do wish to learn magic, as I’ve heard very good things about how you teach this curriculum”
You could hear Brooke hold back a laugh, quickly making you realize how much of a suck-up you sounded like. Although you were embarrassed, you were still stuck on the plain of Brooke’s palm. However, your little speech seemed to have worked on Ms Oleandar. She was used to either giants being rowdy or tinies being annoying (from her point of view, anyway), so your behaviour was a breath of fresh air.
“Apology accepted. I’m glad at least some of the new students are interested in doing well.”
She stood back up to face Brooke.
“Class will be starting soon, so you should get to your seat, Brooke.”
“Got it!”
She began to turn around, carrying you with her.
“Not with the tiny student.”
“Hehe, almost forgot!”
Brooke sheepishly handed you over to Ms. Oleandar and waved goodbye, before walking over to the back of the room. Your body plopped in the middle of Oleandar’s hand, and you meekly waved back.
Above, you heard Ms. Oleandar sigh and talk beneath her breath.
“I hope that girl actually tries learning this time…”
As you look up, you realize just where she was holding you. Her gigantic chest was blocking your entire field of view, as her hand was positioned just underneath it. It was actually somewhat intimidating, with her breasts looking like two round mountains. If you weren’t careful, it felt like they could just fall down and squish you at any moment. You quickly look forward again, hoping she didn’t notice you staring.
Ms. Oleandar raised her hand back in front of her face, turning her attention to the tiny Gnome in her palm.
“Anyways, as for you…”
