Holly poured over her script off to the side of the set. From the looks of it her character was meant to fulfill the teacher/narrator archetype, floating through the scene without really being a part of it. Calling the events of the skits to a halt to point out details and engage directly with the viewer. It was her job, no, her duty to connect with her audience and drive home the lesson. It wasn’t really a meaty part that allowed the flexing of acting muscles but it had an air of importance that Holly reveled in. She needed to be the cool older sister who inspired all the little kids to grow and succeed.
Her nose was so intently buried in the script that it rattled her brain when it changed like the floor beneath her feet turned to quicksand. She squeezed her eyes shut and pinched the bridge of her nose, refusing a headache as the warping sensation passed.
When Holly Looked up the studio was different. Sets looked different, actors seemed different, just the air of everything seemed not like it was. Thinking back to the script she watched warp in her hands and flipped through it again in search of context. From what she could glean the tape they were making was still about potty training.
