Hilda was on the bus to Nuvema Town, thinking how today was Hilbert's birthday. It had been years since she last seen him, she wondered how much he'd grown.
When she got off, she was forced to ask for directions since she wasn't sure where Professor Juniper's lab was anymore.
Completely lost, she somehow how her way into Route 1, where she saw a pokéflute laying on the ground. Unsure why anyone would throw it away, she took a look at it but couldn't see anything wrong, so decided to keep it.
Thankfully, she saw the Juniper coming from Accumula Town. "Professor!"
"I'm sorry, do I know you? You look familiar."
"It's me, Hilda."
It took Juniper a second to place the name. "Oh, Hilda! It's wonderful to see you again. Have you got your starter yet?"
"Actually, that's why I'm here."
"Oh, I see. Well, come then. Let's get you your starter."
When they got back to her lab, she had her assistant bring out some starter pokémon.
