Lyra woke up earlier than she wanted, but Professor Elm wanted to have a look at her Marill.
"Morning Professor." She said, holding back a yawn.
"Ah, Lyra, thank you for coming. Would you mind putting Marill on the table?"
She did as he asked and he started taking a blood sample.
"What's this about?"
He took the sample to a microscope. "Check the computer."
She took a look and saw what looked like a small, armless Marill with a thin, black, zigzagging tail attached to a large blue ball the same size as its body.
"That image comes from another region. I suspect Marill may be an evolved pokémon like Pikachu."
Lyra was a little too tired to care. "Do you need to keep Marill?"
"No, thank you for offering, though."
At that point, the phone started ringing.
While he spoke, she decided to grab some coffee.
When she got back, he asked her to go and ask Ethan if he could do him a favour.
Still being quite tired, she didn't care. But when she went to speak to him, she was told he was asleep, so just relayed the message to his mother.
She then returned home to wake up properly.
After she was fully awake, she decided to go out and train Marill on Route 29.
She battled Pidges, Sentrets, and a Hoppip.
During training though, a red head nearly ran into her. "Whatch it!" She called after him.
Not long after, Kris did the same thing but didn't seem to notice her.
She was wondering what was going on, but kept up the training until she came across a surprising tough Rattata.
The battle took so long, she decided that she just had to have it and threw a pokéball.
Despite the beating it took, it still came close to escaping. When she picked up the pokéball, she found a pokéflute right next to it.
