Derek was plastering an unconvincing smile on his face. It was for the summer campaign, and the catalogues needed their models to smile, pout and pose in the swimwear.
The photographer was clearly favouring the women, and their bikinis, and one-piece outfits. The variety a stark contrast to his own trunks. He could understand it. After all, most guys didn't care too much about their swimwear. As long as their body wasn't obviously overweight. His teeth ground, as he beamed another shallow, vapid smile for the camera.
He understood, many guys looking at the catalogue wouldn't be shopping. The women earned the higher pay, for doing the same as he was. He wasn't the fittest, most muscular guy. But, he was toned and attractive enough.
Looking at the women, he felt their bloated curves were surgically boosted, and a tone, or slender physique was all they needed to achieve.

It was with that envious thought at the forefront of his mind, when Derek's world shifted. The flash going off, made him wobble unsteadily. His hand rising instinctively to belatedly shield his eyes.
