On a television in a young boys room it depicted two people standing on opposite ends of an arena. Both people hit a device on their wrists causing them to transform as an announcer declares the start of a battle. The man on the right turned a deep shade of purple, grew a wide teethy grin, and his eye color resembled a ruby. His body morphed to be a bit shorted and rounder as his ears extended and became pointed and claws grew from his hands, declaring "Gengar!". The man on the right had his skin turn to a light purple, a horn sprouted from his head, his face shifted to that of a muzzle, and his ears grew larger and widened, declaring "Nidorino!". Once they both finished changing they charged each other. The Nidorino tried to tackle the Gengar but it jumped onto his head and jumped behind him. As the Nidorino turned around, the Gengar fired off a hypnosis. The Nidorino, stumbled back, his eyes growing heavy as he reached for his wrist, and barely managed to activate it. The Nidorino began to change form again as his legs turned into a series of boulders that stretched far behind him. His skin turned stone grey and the horn shifted into a large fin onto his head.
As the battle raged on the screen a young boy with raven black hair tightened the green gloves on his hands, straightened his hat, and plucked a Voltorb from his shelf. As he did so he declared he would be a pokemon master! That was until, "ASH KETCHUM!" His mother's shouting threw him off balance and his Voltorb flew out of his hand and into hers. Catching it, she popped it open to reveal it was past 11. "You should be in bed right now mister." She chided.
"But mom," Ash whined, "tomorrow I'm going to start my pokemon journey."
"Then that's all the more reason to get to bed then mister." She said sternly. With that, Ash crawled into bed as she turned off the lights, leaving him to his dreams of being a pokemon master.
