As you two pulled up to the Swap Clinic, you began to wonder why you were there. You looked at the building confused. The hell is a swap clinic?
“Mom, why are we here?” You asked as she didn’t say a word and got out of the car. You got out as well and continued to try and gain your mother’s attention. She kept to herself and walked to the building. Eventually, she finally spoke to you.
“I’m tired of how you treat women. All these comments about gender stereotypes and the blatant disrespect you have towards me and other women is disgusting. Hopefully this will teach you a lesson,” Mary said firmly. You were in shock at the tone at which your mother spoke with. She opened the door as you both entered the building. You were left speechless as you looked around the room. What was this place? It looked like a hospital but it couldn’t be. What was your mom about to do to you? As you continued to think about this, Mary walked to the front desk and spoke to the lady there.
“Hello ma’am, can I help you?” The lady asked.
“Hi, I saw an ad for you guys online and wanted to see if I could sign my son up for a swap,” she said. You were left confused by this. What the hell is a swap?
“Very well. Take this tablet and fill it out. On there he’ll have the options for available swaps along with the ability to select a swap if he already had someone in mind,” the lady said as she handed Mary the tablet. Mary smiled and thanked the lady as you two sat down in the waiting room.
“Mom, what is this place?” You asked.
“You’re going to learn to respect women by being a woman,” she said as she filled out the information in the tablet. Your face went white as you realized she wasn’t joking.
