This choice: Eh, show me some more civilians to choose from. • Go Back...Chapter #3Hey There, You in the Back! by: Keroro04 Desiree Sawyer
Age: 22
Height/Weight: 6'1"/220 lbs.
Job: Mechanic
When it comes to heroics, one of the more flashy things one can imagine is their vehicles. While those who can fly or run super fast forego vehicles due to being faster than a speeding bullet, those who rely on more mundane means of transportation often rely on powerful vehicles that can move both fast and over very large distances, such as the Lone Bullet's Bulletcycle or Gattaca's Gatmobile. As for who repairs those vehicles?
That's where Desiree Sawyer comes in, and repairs your vehicles on the cheap.
Desiree grew up very poor, and up until about two years ago she was just living on the streets of Darkport among criminals and thieves. But when she was forced to work on the Death Queen's armored car with her own life on the line, she discovered she had the gift with gears and machines. When she was subsequently saved by Mist and offered to soup up her car, she earned quite a bit of money and used said money to invest in a van to travel the country, offering her mechanical services to the right buyer.
Now, she travels the entire United States with wrench in hand. Operating on both vehicle and robot, Desiree has taken to using cheap shortcuts to fix mechanical issues fast and never cares about who she works for so long as she is not disposed of afterward. She is very much not a fighter though, as evidenced by her slacker mentality outside of her line of work and her soft body, which pushes against her suspenders. Although she is looked a bit down upon due to her not-perfect means of fixing things, she is still a vital piece of the machine that is the Cape community.
Tailor Maiden
Civilian Name: Margaret Lancaster
Age: 45
Height/Weight: 5’7"/ 120 Lbs.
Origin: Seamstress to the Supers.
Second only to Ashley Armstrong, Margaret Lancaster is one of the most beloved figures in the Cape community. Her deft hand and sharp eye has gotten many a super (Hero and Villains alike) out of a sudden wardrobe malfunction or tricky bit of battle damage.
Her secret lies in her ability to manipulate threads and fabric to whatever end she desires.
Veterans on both sides of the coin praise her work and newbie heroes all long to hear she has taken an interest in a design for them.
Kindly and boldly flirtatious, she enjoys the closeness and intimacy her profession provides.
Anonymity and Discretion are her main concerns in her job. A beacon of neutrality in the Cape community, she works for heroes and villains in equal measure.
Rumours swirl that she occasionally encourages villains to destroy heroes outfits when business is quiet but no proof has ever emerged. Woe to anyone that tries to steal her impressive client list, her Clients measurements are classified!
Oh and I guess their identities as well…
Kennedy Hazel
Age: 36
Height/Weight: 5'3"/150 lbs.
Job: Anti-Metahuman Protester
This was not the pathway Kennedy had expected her life to travel. She had an excellent career as teacher, a wonderful partner and a loving community at her local congregation.
Everything changed when the letter came. It accused her of being the vigilante known as the Lone Bullet and carried with it a hefty fine. After that it all fell apart. She was fired from her job, her partner left her for fear of villain revenge schemes and her community whispered about her being a violent manic. She felt cursed. One evening she fell to her knees and cried out to God. Asking why she was being punished and what could she do?
As if answering her prayer the evening newscast played a story showing footage of the Lone Bullet defeating the villainous Multiplicity. Her path was clear. She was to punish the wicked Metahumans that flouted the Lords gifts. And to keep with her vow as a pacifist she would make them too fat to harm themselves or others.
Donning her robes each night and toting her homemade cheesecake gun, Kennedy now stalks the night as the force known only by her calling card: "Meta’s Must Dine!"
Michael Gateau
Age: 30
Height/Weight: 5'11"/260 lbs.
Job: Obsessed Bishop
The sibling superheroes Cherub and Seraph are of the holy sort, so it makes sense that they'd have quite a religious following. Blessed by God Almighty, the two are worshipped by various local churches across the States as a blessed new pair of saints, slaying devils and bringing holy virtue across the country. Different churches have different views of the two however, and in the Church of the Swollen Stomach, a local priest has been having visions.
This man, Michael Gateau has been seeing the Seraph in his dreams. She stood tall over him, adorned with fat and on a holy pillar of cake and frosting. As she moved her doughy hand, a holy light spread across the nation, blessing the nation with a divine pudge and removing sorrow and hunger from the world. With no other explanation of what these dreams could be, he took them to be visions from God himself, telling him of the fates of both himself and the currently still thin and muscular Seraph.
To that front, he has started the Church of the Swollen Stomach, which heavily reveres the Seraph. In his prayers, he sends sweets specifically deigned by God to target the Seraph's taste buds, so that in his mind she can accept her divinely mandated destiny. While the church is small as of now, closeted feeders from across the country have slowly gathered under the man, seeking to join him in incapacitating the swordmaster of the Liberty Legion.
However, in his eyes it is not evil. It is a destiny for the greater good. And he will never stray from this path by sinful or illegal means to achieve his goals. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
