D.va was getting bored. Matches were getting repetitive, and was even beginning to get bored of video games.
"If this keeps up then I'll die of boredom!" She whined. "If only there was some way to spice things up..."
After thinking for a bit, D.va looked at a photo on her desk. It was a picture of when she was younger. She was standing inside of a mechsuit like the one she uses in her matches. The only difference back then was that she wasn't actually a mech pilot. And even if she could have been a pilot at such a young age, she would have a much harder time reaching the controls.
Then... it dawned on her. A spark of inspiration. An idea to temporarily rid her of boredom.
"This gives me an idea!" D.va said while smiling.
After quickly writing down the details, she dashed over to Mercy's lab with her idea in tow.
"Hey Mercy! Can you take a look at this!" D.va asked.
Mercy picked up the piece of paper the D.va was holding and read it.
"So you what to have a match where the participants are younger therefore making them have to adapt to their new form for the duration of the match?" Mercy asked.
"Exactly!" D.va exclaimed.
"Normally I'd say no but I'm also quite bored". Mercy said as she grabbed a vial and mixed in some liquids. "But as long as it's temporary I don't think they'll be any long lasting consequences".
"So you'll do it?" D.va asked.
"Yes. Just so long as you follow my instructions". Mercy told her.
After a day Mercy called D.va back to her lab.
"Ok I've finished it. Everything you requested is in these vials. Due to rapid deployment, this only works on females. Also, don't worry about them being made at you, the formula I made will make them not remember being regresses. But most importantly remember this: only use the amount listed. Otherwise the effects may become permanent. You got that?" Mercy asked.
"Yep! See ya later!" D.va said as she took the vials.
After thinking for a bit, D.va careful planned out the match format, who she was going to regress an how.
"3v3 would work best" She said as she noted it down.
