Of course, it was a shock for everyone at first that all three sisters—despite their age differences—were now supposed to attend the same class.
Little Michelle, however, actually thought it was kind of cool to now spend so much more time with her two older sisters.
Sarah and Chelsea were understandably much less enthusiastic and felt embarrassed about being held back. Especially Chelsea, who not only had to repeat the most grades but also had to return to her old elementary school—just after she had finally made it to high school.
Their mother, Linda, took a pragmatic view of the situation and even saw some advantages in it.
Now all three girls would have the same school schedule. She could drop them off and pick them up at the same time—no more waiting around for each one to finish at different times. Homework would also be dealt with more quickly now that they all had the same assignments. They could help each other when things got tricky—or, if they were really stuck, Linda could assist all three at once.
It felt as if she suddenly had triplets—just without ever having gone through the truly stressful phase of taking care of three screaming babies at the same time.
Before the girls’ first day together in their new shared class, Linda came up with something special.
