At present, you’re sitting in the common room of The Crossroads Inn, listening to an argument about the best way to get to a forest more than six hundred miles away.
The Crossroads Inn is in the city of Callerynta, located in the geographical center of the Kingdom. Callerynta sits on the intersection of two royal highways, one that runs north-south between Kara and the main pass in the Kingdom’s Southern mountain range, the other running west-east between Phesia, a port city on the Great Sea, and the main pass in the Kingdom’s Eastern mountain range. The Crossroads Inn is within sight of the intersection of the Royal Highways.
At the moment, your group is arguing about the best way to get to a forest on the side of the Dark Sea opposite of the Kingdom. The fastest way to get there is by ship, but of course Trigh is objecting to that method of travel. Plains giants and sailing ships aren’t a natural mix. Trigh would rather take the slower way around, staying on land and following the coastline for the entire trip.
Your group decides to table the argument and travel to Kara, and make a decision there.
With the hour getting late, the six of you retire to the rooms you’ve rented for the night.
