In a dimension beyond the comprehension of even the most powerful, a maelstrom of negative energy gives birth to something new and powerful. This corrupted matter compresses and growing more and more unstable until in a beautiful and destructive super nova a new cosmic being emerges from the fire. A sultry moan escapes the lips of the shadow clad goddess and the scale of cosmic balance shift in favor of evil.
The dark goddess gazes out at the infinite realities, deciding where to best influence the universe more to her liking.
She sees the city of New York and the black slime known as the symbiote. Inherently a force of corruption. In this reality it is lost, separated from its host, and weakened to the brink of destruction. If she simply gave the alien bio-suit a boost of power it could bring that world under her influence.
On another facet of reality The same city is refracted the same but distorted. She sees a mansion filled with individuals born with extraordinary powers into a world that despises them. They are all overflowing with some combination of trauma, repressed desire, or a history of villainy that would be easy to manipulate.
In a far reality, She sees a normal human woman. This dark haired reporter is surrounded and trusted by the powerful league of heroes. She knows their secrets, their guard is down around her, perhaps a sense of envy could be stoked in this Lois Lane and her position exploited to gain power.
A land frozen in a repeated dance between golden ages ruled with courage and wisdom and a dark age of power hungry evil.The same three actors reborn time and time again in this endless struggle. Yes, this Hyrule is due for a shake up of the status quo. And with many champions, sages, and princesses to choose from.
