"My legs feel like jelly. I can't take it anymore" Jackie yawned. While both her address options were within walking distance, she did not have the energy to carry both herself and her luggage any further. So with a tired gait, Jackie plopped down under a nearby bridge. In her old city, she wouldn't dare to do something like this; she would've waken up the next day in some stranger's bathtub with her organs neatly sorted in jars next to her. But having taken a good look around, something like that seemed unlikely to happen here. Everything looked so modern and clean! Even the pavement had the texture of a marble lobby floor.
The bridge Jackie found herself under did not only provide a nice shelter from the still-burning sun, it also came with a bench. It was quite a large and sturdy bench, as if it was designed for people over 300kg. Jackie sat down on it and her feet didn't even touch the ground. She felt like a little imp on this thing. Jackie took a sleeping bag out of her suitcase and rolled it out across the bench. She put the rest of her luggage behind it, feeling it's safe enough. Lastly, she took off her shoes before nestling her feet into the comfy bright-green bag. Once Jackie was settled in, she could easily pass for a big, sleeping caterpillar.
Because she was so tired from the trip, it did not take long for Jackie to doze off. Within minutes, the girl was snoring quietly, not moving an inch. But how was the rest of her night?
