Jack's world shook as monstrous footsteps approached the tiny real estate agent without giving him any time to think. "Shit!" he yelled. In a state of panic, Jack rushed towards his chair and clamped onto one of its wheels for safety. When he turned around, he noticed it was Jasmine that was walking by, oblivious to the panic she had incited in her friendly colleague. Breathing a sigh of relief, Jack gradually left from his place of protection. He continued observing his giant friend as she walked by, noticing her stop at one of the copy machines not too far away from his desk. "I can definitely count on her," Jack reasoned. "I just have to get her attention without causing any trouble." Knowing that he had a limited amount of time before Jasmine moved on, Jack rushed out into the open and over to his giant friend. Approaching her left foot, Jack looked up and observed the tan woman's outfit: tight blue jeans and a white blouse. "That should be easy enough to climb," he thought. Just as he reached the black sneaker of Jasmine's left foot, Jack had to backtrack as the woman lifted it up. "Whoa! Wait!" In a desperate effort, Jack lunged to the side and narrowly avoided Jasmine's foot as it clamped down right where he was previously standing. "What the hell..." Jack looked up in confusion and noticed someone had grabbed Jasmine's attention. Though he couldn't tell who, Jack noticed that the giant brunette was distracted with the conversation. Now could be a really good time for him to make his journey up to get her attention.
Wasting little further time, Jack easily climbed onto the accessible black sneaker and to its tongue. With a simple hop, he leaped over the shoe's tongue and onto the white-socked ankle belonging to Jasmine. From there, it was a rather uneventful climb up to the still distracted Jasmine's knee. At this checkpoint, the tiny real estate agent took a pause to catch his breath. Moments thereafter, Jasmine started to shake and stir. "Oh shit, she has her copies," Jack thought, "I need to hold on." Clamping down on the easily grabbable jeans fabric, Jack was soon carried off as Jasmine left this part of the office to head back to the annex. Still not having the slightest idea of her tiny passenger, the young woman casually hummed as she made it back to her desk in a minute's time.

"Good, now I can get started," the brunette woman sighed. She was about to sit down when she noticed something on her pantleg. "What in the world? Is that a bug? Weirdest looking bug I've ever seen..." When he heard these words being uttered, Jack grew incredibly nervous. He looked up to find the intrigued visage of his friendliest coworker staring at him, preparing to reach down. He had to get her attention and ensure that she knew he wasn't a bug, the urgency becoming immediate.
How does this endeavor go for the tiny guy? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
