This choice: Yes, but unfortunately the shrink ray did not shrink with him • Go Back...Chapter #3A sudden turn of events by: Tisch   After waiting a few moments, there came a brief flash from the shrink ray. Jack clcosed his eyes in annoyance, knowing what was about to happen. "God dammit," he grumbled. "I just need to make sure I'm holding it-" As soon as Jack uttered these words, he lost his balance as the shrink ray activated. He dropped the shrink ray, which landed on the ground, before he instantaneously shrunk down. A moment later, the real estate agent found himself the typical few inches tall he normally was when he engaged with the device. Next to him lay the giant shrink ray, unable to be tinkered with any further at Jack's size. He sighed in annoyance once again and took a peek at the device's screen. "What? A cooldown? Three hours? Are you kidding me?" the guy shouted, exasperated. "Oh my God, I can't believe this. I might just blow my sale." A moment later, Jack felt clicking footsteps. The heels of Amy were approaching back into the room. Not knowing what to do, Jack instinctively ran against the wall to protect himself from getting stepped on. He looked up to find a now giant Amy with a confused look on her face. She looked around the room and took baby steps to get herself more space. "Jack?" the Asian client called. "You there? Huh, maybe he went to take a break outside or something. Or maybe a call. Guess I'll stay here for now." The unaware woman approached the wall, indicating she was going to lean on it exactly how Jack had done just before he activated the shrink ray. Jack yelped in surprise as Amy got a little too close for comfort. He sprinted out of the way just in time as one of her heels landed exactly where he had been standing. "This is embarrassing," Jack thought. "To shrink myself on the job, with a client. I hope Brenna doesn't find out about this." While his worries about his boss finding out were growing, Jack had other business to attend to.
"I'm going to have to get Amy's attention if I want any hope of growing back. Although with the shrink ray on cooldown, it's impossible for me to get back to normal size. I suppose I'll just have to postpone the close of the meeting and perhaps have her take me back to the office," Jack reasoned. He looked back up at the now towering Asian woman. He gulped. While she looked intimidating with her well put together attire before, she wasn't so tall before. Jack quickly shook off this intimidation, though, and started to figure out how he was going to get Amy's attention. There were a couple options that instantly came to mind. One, Jack could try running out far enough to the floor to get her to possibly spot him on the ground. He hoped that she would consider him different enough from a normal bug to distinguish him and get a closer look. Two, Jack could try climbing the nearby coffee table and hopping onto one of the coasters or some other item on there to stand out. Then option three was to climb Amy directly. He wasn't exactly sure if that was the best option, but it certainly was the closest.
