Dr Garaki clears his throat and explains in detail about Izuku’s quirk.
“Your quirk is a mutation that resembles your father‘s quirk almost exactly. You both have light blueish-gray teeth that are made out of a
cryptocrystalline form of quartz known as chalcedony.
Chalcedony Is a material commonly found in flint, which means if you grind your teeth together you will be able to make small sparks of fire.
You may be wondering how you can create large flames like your father? Well, I’m not done explaining yet! You see there is another mutation inside your stomach that specifically affects your stomach acid.
When you digest food your stomach acids will turn the food into a gas. This gas is called Methane but in your father’s case the gas his stomach acid produces is called hydrogen, which is quite similar to methane since they’re both colourless and odourless.
Methane and hydrogen are also both highly flammable gases. The methane combined with your chalcedony teeth makes for a strong and heroic quirk.”
Izuku is sitting on a chair extremely giddy and overwhelmed with the information of his quirk.
“Are there any side effects?”Inko asked, with a hint of concern in her voice.
“There may be some mild gastro reflux, if it becomes a problem pick up some gastro reflux tablets at any pharmacy,” Dr Garaki replies reassuringly.
Inko thanks Dr Garaki and then she and Izuku leave. They get into the car and talk about Izuku’s quirk on the way home.
Time skip to the next day outside the kindergarten.
Izuku charges towards the school with enthusiasm and spots Bakugo waiting for him at the gate.
“About time you got here nerd so what quirk did ya get?!” Izuku stops in front of Bakugo and replies excitedly.
“I got a stronger version of my dad’s quirk Fire breathing.”
