The faelan watched. Its clueless rider had done relatively well for a human, managing to get to the gates without falling off or collapsing from exhaustion. It loathed every second it had to carry her however, but she was necessary for its entry into the city. She was a stupid innocent, but that innocence would fool the guards into letting her enter, ignoring the fact that her steed was the real brains of the pair. Humans were so blind, just because a creature did not have two legs did not mean it was any less intelligent than them.
She had charmed the guards. He coldly watched her walk back towards him, her faithful mount. Poor oblivious human. Soon he would be inside the city, and then the deadly plan would unfold and she, like all the others, would regret her blindness.
