Dauphin walked towards one of the tents and, leaving her faelan outside, entered.
"Want to know your future, dearie?" the old lady seated asked.
Dauphin held out her palm. In it was a gold coin, of far greater value than would be expected for a fortune telling. Dauphin was not seeking her future but information.
"I'm looking for someone," she replied.
"The one you seek is far from here still. But she is coming," the gypsy replied.
"I did not tell you who."
"No, but I can tell. It's what I do. And now your palm please," the old gypsy insisted.
"My future is of little concern to me. It is hers that matters," Dauphin replied, but at the old gypsy's persistence Dauphin held out her hand.
"You have led a troubled life so far, and it will continue to be so for some time. But your life line is strong - you will stand against whatever obstacles life throws at you. But the path will not be an easy one," the old gypsy said.
