Chapter #5

The sad woman...

    by: Amethyst_Girl
As she entered the gates she noticed all the carnage around her. Not only the guards but it seemed that this man wanted everyone dead. She took small steps but kept him in her sights. If he was like her, she needed him. If he wasn't, and was something else totally, she would need to determine the best way to get rid of him before he destroyed all that she knew. Her hunger grew stronger and, with little pity for the fallen soldiers, she grabbed the first one she saw, slowly sunk in her fangs and drank his already cold blood. The taste was horrid but her hunger pains simmered a little. She would require one more feed in order to maintain the strength to inquire about this "beast" she was tracking.

With that she saw a small woman lying there, her head cocked to one side; she could see the emptiness in her eyes. She was happy once... the blacksmith's daughter who had fallen in love with the very same guard that felt sympathy for Dauphin. When she finished feeding on this poor woman, she spotted his movement in the corner of her eye.... He had seen her and was moving in....

You have the following choices:

1. She takes off for safety

2. She stands there, awaiting his demise
