Brian couldn't get out of the restaurant fast enough. He laughed, it was funny to him, that he had avoided Fiona. It wasn't that he didn't want to meet her, it was more that he had a bad feeling about her.
His abrupt departure from the restaurant left Brian with an empty belly, wondering what he might do for a meal. Walking along the path which he trod when coming to dinner he was minding his business when suddenly he heard a women yelling at someone, most likely a man.
"Get up. Get off your lazy fucking ass and starting walking now or I'll rip your fuckin' head off" she screamed. It seems Brian had stumbled upon the scene of a short, 40ish woman who was holding a leash. At the end of the leash was a tiny man, maybe seven inches tall, who was cowering in fear.
"I'm sorry" she said, "I didn't mean for you to hear all that." Brian smiled wanly trying to figure out what to do as the woman jerked the leash and her male companion flew forward. "He's really such a pain at this size" she said. Brian moved closer to the woman and started to chat her up. As he did so he nearly stepped on her miniscule friend.
