The girl in black seized Kevin and pulled him through a doorway; was it there before?
The door slammed shut, the light of the store vanished in an instant. The pair began to fall rapidly in the absolute darkness. Kevin's screaming lungs came to an echoed silence as his feet finally hit the ground, all the remaining air knocked out of him. Kevin fell to the floor to find it cold and wet.
"What is your name, boy?" came the girl's voice, still beside him.
"Kevin, who are you?" he demanded, "Where am I?" Kevin slowly picked himself and his aching limbs up off the floor and groaned.
"My name is Serepticia. Welcome to Dragonhal, my home."
The clearly 'crazed' girl lit a torch, no, her hand! There she stood, in a slight pose, her palm held up to the sky or ceiling, or whatever. The flames were sitting delicately above it like a gas ring on the hob. Serepticia looked at him hard.
"Mr Kevin. I need your help. It's important that you pay attention now, or you could get hurt."
