You shiver to the sound of the rain pouring down outside and in the distance a bright flash is followed by a wicked crack of thunder. Beyond the cave's grand opening it's not fit for beast or man, and being of the beast persuasion you feel it fit to wait out the storm in here. You watch Brightmane disappear into the shadows of the cave, more interested in searching the caves for riches and adventure.
Not being the adventurous sort you take Brightmane's advice and stay at the main entrance, collecting sticks and bramble that have built up on the cavern floor. It takes a few minutes to build up and arrange a 'teepee' shaped pile that should easily burn. One strike of your flint and steel is all it takes to set some dry grass ablaze, and soon you have a roaring fire. It's truly beautiful and warm, and the amber glow casts dancing shadows upon the rough cavern walls, which are occasional lit up by distant flashes of brilliant blue lightning. Marvellous, exquisite even, you just wish there was someone else here to keep you company in this empty, lonely place and enjoy the fire with you. Tis almost enough to make you wander off in search of your friends, but fear of the caverns anchors you where you are. Besides, why leave this warm fire that you had to work to make?
Yet, your still so lonely here... maybe you could stand to venture a little ways in?
