You spot him quickly as you approach the lake, and when he looks back at you, you flash him a terrifying fanged grin. He may be big for a 'roo, but you are far, far bigger. You scoop him up in your hand and hold him close to your face, getting a good look at him. You snort with hot breath and he pulls his legs up, trying to curve into a defensive ball.
"So," you say, taking pleasure when you notice him flinch away. "What was it you said to me yesterday?"
He whimpered, terrified.
"No... I don't think that was it." You're speaking slowly, giving him time to really ponder what is going to happen next.
