Lauren took a pill, and when she rose up off the ground, she was ready for it. She kept a tight hold on the rope, just in case she needed it, and decided to experiment.
About thirty minutes later, Lauren had discovered that her skin was now elastic (of course), which allowed her to stretch it quite a bit. However, she had also discovered that the shape of the elastic was dependent on the shape of the air inside. If the shape of the air was human, the balloon would be human shape too. And since the air became whatever shape the elastic container was, that made all sorts of things possible.
Laura used the rope to get herself back down to ground level, removed her socks, and scuffed her feet on the carpeted floor so that she could stick to it through static electricity.
