Matt looks in the cupboard, and pulls out the chocolate sauce. Pouring a lot over the peppermint ice cream, he licks his lips, then digs in. In no time the rich dessert vanishes.
"Wow, great ice cream," says Matt, looking up from his little gorge. "Gotta have some more!" And in moments he has recreated the dessert, only this time with chocolate ice cream, and more of it. The Fettucini twins watch in amusement, their bag of Oreos they'd pulled out rapidly vanishing between them.
"You were hungry," the twins say together, as Matt comes up for breath after the second bowlful. "You're going to fit in well here," Jay continues, then John adds, "despite being a bit small for grade 9."
"Small for grade 9?" Matt questions in puzzlement.
"Yeah, most of us are bigger than you, but keep eating that way and you'll soon catch up!" remarks Jay.
