"Umm, honey, your date's down here." Matilda, Clara's mother said, a bit curious. As she stared at Brett, she looked at his eyebrow and lip. Piercings, she immediately thought. She didn't like him at all, yet she was still a little interested.
They were sophomores now. And Brett, Matilda thought, had brought a car, since, well, in sophomore year they began to drive.
But, Jack came inside, looking a bit confused. "Are you two going to walk to the dance?" he giggled.
"My bike's parked out front," Brett smiled. Clara came down in a dress down to her knees, glittering. She smiled at Brett.
