"James, can you cut it out? I just wanna relax, okay? I got the whole house to myself," Emma added.
"House to yourself?! That's gotta be a new record! C'mon, Em, when's the last time that that happened to you?"
Emma had known James ever since kindergarten, and they really hadn't been friends, but they weren't often found not talking together. She didn't know if James was in any of her classes; she hadn't bothered to ask.
James wasn't a very nice person when he was younger, but once middle school came up, he started trying to be the "class clown" but it never worked. He started lighting up, and wasn't that mean anymore, but Daniella had continued to hate him, so Emma was right there next to her.
"Shut up, James! Go call up Daniella and quit bugging me!" Emma yelled.
"No! It's more fun bugging you," James said, and he hung up.
Emma sighed and hung up the phone. Usual behavior for someone like James.
