Chapter #3
Smaugan's first day alone

My name is Smmaugan. Today I celebrate becoming a fully grown dragon and can care forr myself now. I am coal black in colour with red eyes and a pincer tail. My mother says that I am big for a dragon, with a wingspan of 120ft and a body length of 40ft.
"Well my son, your are now ready to go your own" she said to me, as I just woke up.
"Morning mother. Well i'll miss you" I said and tried to look upset.
"Don't worry, there will be a big enough cave nearby" she said, as this cave was barely big at all and I could just about move.
"Yeah there probably will be."
She took off light and growled softly, telling me to follow her. This was my first time outside the cave. With a powerful thrust of legs and a slight flapping of wings, I started following my mother.
At about noon I saw a massive cave and angled towards it. I landed gently and roared, telling my mother where I am.
I moved out of the way, so she could land. "Nice find son" she said to me and gave her farewells. She then took off, her black scales shimmering brightly as she left.
"Well now i'm by myself i'll need to find a village where I can get food from." To my luck there was a village below my cave and about 5km north. I decided to pay the village a visit and dived out of cave, opening my wings quickly and flying straight towards the village.
I nosedived and landed heavily in the centre. I roared menacingly to let them know that i'm here. People started to flood out of their houses and soon there was about 800 people gathered around me.
"Good afternoon humans" I said, grining evily and showing off my sharp ivory teeth.
The person in charge of the village, who look freightened said "What can we do for you dragon?"
"Give me a beautiful woman as sacrifice every morning."
