Jumping over ancient dust bunnies, you dash towards the end of the bed closest to the cupboard. Fortunately, there is a relatively open path in front of you, with no major obstacles. Hope giving you wings, you keep on running.
In your elated state, you fail to notice the movement to your right. Suddenly, something huge and warm hits you, throwing you off you feet, and carrying you with it. Given your current situation, you immediately realize that it has to be someone's hand, even before the fingers have fully closed around you.
Your stomach lunges, trying to escape through your mouth as you are suddenly pulled back. Completely encased inside the soft fist, you can't see anything of your surroundings, much less who your captor is.
You try to struggle, but feel right away that you can't budge the walls surrounding you at all. Or can you? Suddenly, they open up and you see Carly's face above you. You are confused that there is honest relief on it.
Carly puts her other hand's index finger in front of her lips and makes a small hissing sound - small to her, but a loud gale of wind to you.
Hope comes up in you. Hope that Carly might be on your side. Thus, you don't try to resist as Carly carefully slide you into the left chest pocket of her t-shirt.
"What is it, Carly, have you found him?"
Your heart stops for a second as you hear your sister's voice. Then you feel it pounding as if it was about to burst.
Please, Carly, I beg you.
"Nope. I thought it was him, but it was just a stupid dust bunny."
In relief, you allow yourself to drop down at the bottom of the pocket.
The girls continue to search for you for another ten minutes before they grow tired of it.
"Well, he seems to have gotten anyway - for now. I don't think he could get out of the house like this, so I will find him, sooner or later."
"Won't you get into trouble if he is found or gets killed or anything?"
"Found? At less than an inch high? Unlikely. And killed - I told you the spell protected him from all harm. He can't get killed."
If you have had any doubts before, now you know your sister is behind all this.
At the moment, you seem to be relatively save as Carly seems to be protecting you, but is it alright simply to wait? Shouldn't you be doing something? You are eager to confer with Carly, yet you are afraid she might change her mind if you doubt her ability to handle things.
