What's going on here!?

"Huh?" Sarina's mother replied, "What are you talking about?" This in turn, caused the girl to grumble...
"Weren't you listening!?" Sarina shouted back into the phone, "I said..."
"I heard you the first time." Her mother said, "Why would you think your... back curves... Have grown, honey?"
"But, it was smaller the other day..." Her mother was silent for a moment, and said...
"What...? What are you talking about? Are you feeling alright, dear?"
"Eh... Are YOU?" Sarina shot back, rubbing her rear end with her free hand, rather unknowingly.
"Dear, you've always been curvier in the... trunk." Her mother said, "It runs in the family."

This shocked Sarina into silence. What did her mother just say? She thought that she was losing it.

She turned her attention to the family portrait, and, low and behold, she saw herself with her large hips. And her mother... Now, that was a shocker. Instead of the adverage looking mother she knew, she saw a woman who looked... rather curvy. She guessed, from what she saw, her mother's hips were at least two feet wide, and her legs were very muscular, looking used to carrying such a weight...

"Hello? Sarina?" Her mother said over the phone, "Are you there?"

"Er... Yeah, Mom... Something came up..." Sarina muttered, "I'll... call you back." She hung up quickly, sighed lightly. She walked over to the wall, and slid down to the ground, holding her head, confused...
