Chapter #5

Trophy girls

    by: Unknown
I peeked into the compartment. Oliver was sitting reading a book. He looked up as I jumped in. I slammed the door shut behind me. I breathed a loud sigh of relief. I turned to face him. I faked a small gasp.
“Oh. Hello. Can I wait here for a while? I’m avoiding Cho.” If I was right he would laugh, if I was wrong…well I wouldn’t care then. He raised a brow.
“You guys aren’t close?”
“Not really, she’s more of a trophy girl.” I confessed. I snapped my mouth closed. I hadn’t actually meant to say that. Oliver laughed.
“And you’re not?” he teased.
“No.” I said indignantly through my grin. “For one, trophy girls are brain dead.”
“And you’re not?” He interrupted me with a smile.
“And ALL trophy girls are pretty.” I continued ignoring his words. His smile fell.
“And you’re not?” he asked seriously. I laughed, unfortunately loud and hard. For some reason I couldn’t stop giggling. I felt my face turn red. Oliver just watched me with wide eyes.
“Sorry…” I gasped breathlessly. I recovered myself. “It’s just…no one has ever said that before.” I explained. He frowned.
“Oh, I’m Oliver Wood.” He held out a hand as if to change the subject. I shook his hand warmly.
“I’m Lizzie Dominque.”
“Dominque? As in the Flying Dance Dominque?” He watched me with hopeful eyes.
“Uh, yes and at the same time no. I’m going to be in the flying dance…when I learn how to fly.” I admitted blushing furiously. His face fell.
“So you can’t fly?” he repeated. I shook my head.
“Um, I was wondering if you could you show me how? I mean you are on a the Puddlemere team, aren’t you?”
“Me?” He squeaked. He turned the idea over in his head. I saw a grin starting on his lips. “If you promise to introduce me to the rest of Flying Dance, I’ll teach you to fly.”
