Not the brightest match in the box

Trying not to fall of you slide apart of your body into the boy's sneaker. As you ride in a somewhat relative comfort the boy takes the book and hands it over to a park grounds keeper saying he found it on a bench the guy thanks the boy before the he leaves to put it in the lost and found not wanting to be separated from the book you try to get out from between the kid's sock and shoe. But as you try to get out you only succeed in slipping deeper into the shoe. When you finally stop struggling the only part of your body left outside of the shoe is your head and your left arm. As you look around you notice that you are no longer in the park, it seems that the boy is heading home.
