Outside

You are woken by the sun beating down on your face. Looking around, you are still lying on the surface of the man's shoe, but it is surrounded by a sea of towering green blades.

Grass. The man is standing in some grass.

Casting your eyes further about, you see distant - yet still behemothic - forms lounging about. Clearly you are on one of the many lawns around campus, where students waiting for, or just having finished, exams come to relax for a time.

It might be the perfect place to try and get some help.
